The AMR Industry Alliance, the largest coalition of life sciences companies dedicated to combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR), recognizes innovative local programmS that promote AMR stewardship and the responsible use of antibiotics within their communities. This award, accompanied by a monetary grant, will support scaling these impactful approaches.

At M.P. Shah Hospital, this prize will strengthen our antimicrobial stewardship efforts. The newly developed antibiotic timeout tool plays a vital role in ensuring the responsible use of antibiotics and eliminating unnecessary applications. With infections caused by resistant micro-organisms now among the leading causes of hospital fatalities, such initiatives are critical to safeguarding the effectiveness of these life-saving medications for future generations.
