To further enhance our dedication to excellence in medical tourism, we established a specialised International Patient Services team in May 2023.
This dedicated team ensures seamless coordination for both outpatient and inpatient services, guaranteeing that every international patient feels fully supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Whether it’s arranging inbound transfers, scheduling appointments, organising travel and accommodation, or addressing your unique requirements, we are here to ensure your experience with us is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
PRE-ARRIVAL
Inquiry: International patients or their agents will contact the hospital through designated channels(Website Chat, email, or dedicated phone line seeking information regarding medical services, treatment options, and specialists
Medical Reports Review: Patients/agents will be requested to provide relevant medical reports, diagnostic reports, and any other necessary documents for review by our Chief Medical Director’s office
Treatment Plan, Cost Estimate & Pre-Authorization: Based on the Medical report, the hospital will develop a personalized treatment plan and provide a detailed cost estimate including medical fees, accommodation, and other related expenses. Any insurance Pre-authorisation will be sought at this stage
ARRIVAL
Travel Arrangements; The patient will make their travel arrangements but the hospital will assist with Airport transfers and accommodation booking
Welcome & Orientation: Upon arrival, patients will be received by a dedicated Care coordinator who will provide an orientation about the hospital facilities, services, surrounding local amenities, and local attractions within the City of Nairobi and Beyond
Consultation: The patient will undergo a comprehensive medical consultation with the specialist physician to discuss the treatment plan, address any concerns, and obtain informed consent
TREATMENT
Medical Services: Patients will receive medical services and treatment as per the agreed plan with regular monitoring and follow-ups by the medical teams
Patient Support: The Hospital will provide support services through the dedicated Care coordinator including interpretation services, nutrition and dietary guidance
POST TREATMENT & DEPARTURE
Recovery & Rehabilitation: The patient will receive post-treatment care, rehabilitation services, and guidance on follow-up appointments or medication
Follow-up Care: The hospital will maintain communication with international patients’ post-discharge to their recovery progress and address any ongoing medical needs
Feedback & Evaluation: Patients will be encouraged to provide feedback about their experience at M.P Shah Hospital, which will be used for continuous improvement and quality enhancement
DEPARTURE
Discharge process: Upon completion of treatment, patients will go through a seamless discharge process with guidance on medication, post-treatment care, and follow-up instructions
Travel Assistance: The hospital will assist the patients with travel arrangements for their return journey including airport transfers and medical documentation if required.
EMERGENCY PROTOCOL
In case of any medical emergency during the patient’s stay, our emergency response protocol will apply to ensure timely and effective intervention.
