M.P. Shah Hospital Celebrates 90 Years of Service and It’s JCI Accreditation Achievement.

M.P. Shah Hospital, proudly marks its 90th anniversary celebrating not only its remarkable journey of service but also its recent Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, a recognition of its commitment to world-class healthcare standards.

Founded in the early 1930s by visionary philanthropists, the hospital began as Parklands Nursing Home with a mission to alleviate suffering in the community. The founders envisioned a place where the I’ll would find solace, compassionate care, and a sense of belonging. Over time, this vision grew beyond a modest nursing home into the fully-fledged, multi-specialty institution that M.P. Shah Hospital is today.

Now known as one of Kenya’s most respected medical institutions, M.P. Shah offers a comprehensive range of services, including renal care, hip and joint replacements, and cancer treatment, serving patients not only from the East African region but across the African continent. This dedication has solidified the hospital’s reputation for delivering professional medical, nursing, and rehabilitative care, always driven by patient-centered values upheld by the Social Service League.

During the celebration event at the Hummingbird Hall, a cake-cutting ceremony took place symbolizing this significant milestone, and staff members were honored with certificates in recognition of their exceptional performance during the hospital’s initial Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation survey. This gesture highlighted the dedication and hard work that contributed to achieving this prestigious recognition.
