M.P. Shah Hospital joined the global healthcare community in celebrating World Patient Safety Day under the theme “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety” and the slogan, “Get it right, make it safe!”

This year’s focus emphasized the pivotal role accurate and timely diagnoses play in ensuring patient safety and improving overall health outcomes.

World Patient Safety Day, provides a vital platform for raising public awareness on patient safety while encouraging collaboration between patients, healthcare workers, policymakers, and industry leaders. By spotlighting the importance of getting diagnoses right, the campaign aims to mitigate errors and safeguard the well-being of patients worldwide.

To commemorate the occasion, M.P. Shah Hospital conducted a week-long campaign filled with virtual sessions, workshops, and staff engagements centered on improving diagnostic processes. These activities fostered collaboration and learning among healthcare professionals, empowering them to prioritize patient safety in every diagnosis.

One of the campaign highlights was a spirited internal competition that encouraged teams across the hospital to showcase their commitment to enhancing diagnostic practices. The Children’s Hospital team emerged as the overall winner, while the Nursing School took the first runner-up position.

The observance culminated in a hybrid closing ceremony on September 20, 2024, where participants gathered to reflect on the lessons learned and celebrate the progress made in improving diagnostic accuracy at M.P. Shah Hospital. Through initiatives like these, the hospital remains steadfast in its dedication to creating a safer healthcare environment for all.
